If Only...

You know I am on a quest for simplicity, buying only what I love and in most cases not buying anything at all. I also know you are probably tired of me talking about it, but it's more of a reminder for me than you. It's so easy to get caught up in the case of the wants especially when blogging daily. Today I thought I would indulge myself though. If we were not trying to save like crazy and pay off our arm loan then these would most definitely make it onto my list. Granted I would still have to save for ages, but I know they would all be pieces I would adore and keep a lifetime. Oh, and these would also finish out our keeping room/office. Okay so maybe shoes and a dress don't actual count, but I would feel mighty cute wearing them while blogging and of course I would sport them for the blog. Ha.

The dress is by Sheridan French. She is absolutely adorable and this dress makes my head spin with happy thoughts. Her blog is a new favorite. Seeing her new life as a mother of two babes takes me back to that time with Ellie & KJ and makes me grateful for the age they are in now. Ha.The rug and pillow will bring more of the boho look I am striving for without losing my traditional/classic style. The light makes me smile. I am in desperate need of a replacement for my basket light. The new couch sticks further out than our old one which makes the coffee table push back which then leads to everyone bumping their heads on my lovely light. I am having the hardest time finding a budget/cheap replacement. Any ideas? The desk I adore. I have finally given up my hunt for the perfect desk then I come across this one and it's more than I want to spend, but it would be perfect. I will have to admire it from a far though. The shoes, well look at them they are simply gorgeous. I think I will need to keep my eyes out for a money tree, a big one at that.

*Today is the last day to enter the giveaway below. Getting excited!

Edie Rose

Rachel Bilson has a dish line called Edie Rose at Macy's. I think it's rather pretty. Feminine with a bit of boho, kind of like her. Love this image of Bilson. It makes me even more confident with my pink lip love. I had only seen it on blondes beforehand, but she so rocks it.

Playful Learning Spaces - A Giveaway

Ever since reading Emily's post on Playful Learning Spaces the e-course I became smitten with the idea. As you know I have been on a quest for simplicity and pairing down. To have only what I use and LOVE. Well, I have been struggling with making a space for the kiddos. Granted their rooms are full of fun and our dining room table serves as a place for creating art, but it doesn't feel like theirs. They have to continually put it all away into 2 small drawers, because we do have to eat. Not that it is bad, but my children thrive on being creative and I want to encourage that growth in any way I can. Mariah will be sharing ideas for creating areas that invite children to engage in reading, writing, science, art and so on. With summer coming I know this will be a staple in our daily lives. Ellie has found school to be a bit hard so I know in order for her to keep up I will need to focus daily on learning. At the same time I need it to be fun for her since she tends to stress a bit. I am thinking this e-course will send me into the right direction. I am so excited! I love the idea of being able to dedicate a whole room. This one from The Sleepy Time Gal is quite impressive...

The only issue for us is we do not have an extra room so I will have to carve out a space like this that I found on Emily's blog among other inspiring spaces, which I also love...

Mariah was kind enough to offer a free space to one of you! I will also be taking the course and hope to compare notes with the winner, well if you want to that is. I will also be sharing the space I will be inspired to create for the kiddos when the course is completed. The giveaway winner be announced Friday the 1st of April. Did I mention how excited I am about this?

*To enter the giveaway simply comment below. Make sure there is a way for me to contact you though or be sure to check back back on Friday. So simple.
