Why Oh Why? {the real estate hunt}

It seems during our new home search I gravitate towards houses that we could NEVER afford. All the homes I look at in the price range that we are willing to pay are either gorgeous but smaller than our already small home, or just good enough but at the top of our budget with much needed work that would send the price out of our reach. With our next buy I want to be smart. I hope it can be a place where my kiddos can grow up, won't put a strain on us financially, and is beautiful. Of course I realize I can make anything into our so called dream house, but the Mr. isn't one for major renovation and we have price restraints. I am beginning to think our search may take longer than I expected and possibly "that" house simply doesn't exist. In that case I may just do a few more things to this house and stay put. Nothing huge, but wall to wall seagrass in our bedroom is at the top of my list. Oh, and isn't this house spectacular? A dream really. Oh, and by no means am I looking at something this grand. I am realistic. Ha. I would however like to visit someone here for tea though. If you happen to be in the market for a home that is $1,579,000 then this one can't be any more perfect.

*As always if you are interested in this home I will be more than happy to connect you with the listing agent.

A Bathroom {obsessed}

Ever get stuck on images? This bathroom did it for me. I have found myself just studying them, the whole house really. Since seeing them yesterday I have looked at them at least a dozen times. It really encompasses every design element that I adore. Clean white subway tile, planked walls, antiques mixed with more modern touches, rustic and industrial all while being clean lined... Can it get any better than that?

creating a room

Today I am sharing some inspiration for decorating a space that was once a contender for our new home over on the utterly charming blog Mr. & Mrs. Rigoloso. Molly is one of the most witty people I know. Her and her Mr. are traveling around the US with some sort of travelling job. Right now they are in New York and I am so grateful that Irene wasns't all that was expected of her. Oh, and I am not sure if you remember this image that the Mr. took, but here is a mock up of it in the frame that I still need to get done.

To see the rest of the space that I am currently dreaming of creating go here.
