A Skirt + A Guest Post

Not sure if there has ever been a whole week that I did not blog since starting this space years ago. The chaos has yet to slow down and actually has mounted to new heights. Really to the point of being just plain ole hysterical. I did manage to squeeze in an overnight trip to Atlanta with a good friend over the weekend. Oh, and we did what I do best... shop.

I fell head over heels for this little skirt with a peplum from ZARA. I some how convinced myself I did not need it though. Even if it did hide my problem area beautifully. I have another pencil skirt that is this very color and I do try to not indulge in too many trends. Also I felt this little skirt is such a statement maker I would only get a few wears out of it. If it came in black though it would have been another story. It would have been deemed practical and get great use even if were for only a season or two. I could have easily seen myself wearing it like this...

I am by no means highly fashionable, but I do know what I like. A couple of weeks ago I did a little guest post over on Between Your Ears in Caroline's Evolution of Style series. It was so fun to do. If you would like you can take a little gander HERE.

A Bit of Pretty Among the Chaos

I can't believe it is Thursday already. Yesterday I kept on confusing for Tuesday and repeatedly went into panic mode once I realized all that I have to get done by today. I have had WAY to much work that consists of sitting in front of the computer the last week+, so on Tuesday (which I thought was Monday) I took the kiddos to the zoo and had a little down time. It was much needed to say the least. Tomorrow we head to Mobile to shoot a wedding that I am sure will be stunning. We have to be back Saturday night in order for the Mr to be at his actual job on Sunday. Oh, did I mention the go time for the couple is 11:00 pm and we have a few hours drive back home. Whew. Already tired thinking about it. Sunday should be nice, while the Mr is at church I will go pick up the kiddos from my parent's and celebrate my sister's birthday before she leaves for Italy for 9 weeks (can you believe that?), celebrate Papa's day, and then once we all get back home celebrate the Mr's father's day. It's a nice chaos to have, but in the midst of it all I personally needed a little pick me up so I got some garden roses from Whole Foods and added some mint from my garden. They make me cheery. I hope you all have a great weekend and I will be back next week. I hope.

Garden Party

The last couple of weeks we have been engrossed in shooting/processing weddings, playing party planner to quite an elaborate upcoming birthday party, and of course my everyday life as being a mother/wife/friend. It has kept us on hyper drive as of late. It has been nice though to have so much work on our plates, the other option would leave me with questions like how do we pay for private school. Ha. July should slow back down a bit which will be quite nice. The 9th will be our 8th wedding anniversary and Ellie is looking forward to her 7th birthday party at the end of the month. So in light of the forth coming celebrations I put together a little inspiration board that could work for quite a lovely wedding or even better, a garden party fit for a princess. In reality though Ellie is hoping for a rainbow colored party so of course I will provide. You know I LOVE birthday parties!!!
