After doing a bit perusing over on Simple + Pretty I came across And George. It took only a wink of the eye for me to become completely smitten. The shop is not only gorgeous, but the blog is chalk full of inspiration. The styling is quite brilliant too. These are a few of my favorite snippets from the shop, just gorgeous in my opinion. Oh, and the owners of And George are a mother and daughter team. Mother, Jan Roden does exquisite interior design and daughter, Christy Ford shares in her mothers passion. Talk about a pair! Maybe one day that can be Ellie and I.
RED
I bought a red dress. I love the boho feel and I suppose it fits in with my hispanic roots. Ha. It's also unbelievably comfortable. The best part it only cost $16.99 at T.J. Maxx and the belt I have had for a really long time.
Oh, and I am no longer in a funk. I am happy as can be. Ellie is out of school and I plan to have a fabulous summer. I also am in a bookclub for 1000 Gifts and it is amazing! I am also hooked on her blog. The quote above is one I am sure I will be living by.
Hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend to those in the states. See you on Tuesday!
Ottoman Inspired
When I came across this red and pink tufted ottoman on One Kings Lane I knew it would make a great accent piece in any room. I could easily see it flanked by two rather lovely chairs, a pair of gorgeous lamps, and a piece of art from one of my favorite artists Michelle Armas. I love that this set up could be used almost anywhere, a office, a sitting room, even in a master. I am officially on the hunt for a round ottoman for my bedroom. I am hoping I get lucky at a thrift store or such and can have it upholstered in something pretty.
