Happy Easter!

Not sure why the color pink reminds me of Easter. Maybe it's because it is one of my favorite colors and Jesus is my favorite? Okay maybe that relation is a stretch, but I do know I am grateful for the sacrifice Jesus made for me. The first image is a snippet of my home from a shoot I did for a local magazine for this upcoming May. Hope it gets published. Ha. Oh, and the pretty bride is one of my besties from high school. She and her Mr modeled for a Jose Villa workshop and I must say I am smitten with the images. As for the rest of the images? They just make me ever so happy. Ellie has tomorrow through Monday off from school so we will be Easter egg dying, baking for an Easter meal with close friends, and just enjoying life. I will be back on Tuesday. Have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone!

Effortlessly Chic

The Mr. and I have a ball shooting weddings. I spotted this fabulous lady from a wedding we shot in March. Love the black dress with gold detail paired with a bright bag and leopard shoes. I may be a bit partial since she is sporting my new fave, pink lips. She seems so effortlessly chic. Don't you think?

The Gibson Light

After finally having a chance to sit down and read the new Trad Home I became instantly smitten. I adore the fresh take on traditional design that was highlighted throughout the issue. It reminds me greatly of what I try to achieve in my own home. I am routed in traditional design yet I want my home to feel young and family oriented. Anyway, what struck me most was the top image that was designed by Lauren Gold and Sasha Adler. I could easily see my family gathered around the gracious island. The more I studied the kitchen space the more I realized how much I LOVE the lighting. It may have moved up to my new favorite light in which I can not actually afford, but I still adore it. It is from Urban Electric and that is where I also came across the second kitchen, simply gorgeous.
