I was hoping to have the office completed before Thanksgiving. I now have a new goal to get it completed before Christmas, but if I'm honest to myself it may not happen till the new year. I can dream though! I did make a step of progress though and had prints made for our ribba frames. They are huge and I love them. The pic of the kiddos just makes me smile. It shows their personality fully. Ellie sweet as can be and KJ being a wild hair. The New York pic was from last years trip and it just holds so many good memories for us. The desk is a mess per usual. It drives the Mr mad. I just can't seem to keep it straight no matter how hard I try. Oh, and the desk is new! It's actually a dining table from West Elm and I could not love it anymore. I can't seem to find it online, but I'll share a better pic soon so you can see the metal legs. Can't believe it took us so many years to invest in one. This is after all where I pretty much live.
All About the Hair
This is me as natural as can be. After I posted I thought maybe I should do a little photoshop magic to help me look a little less tired, but I'm not perfect so there's that reality and I mine as well live in it. HA. I kid, mostly, I rarely wear makeup because I'm lazy when it comes to anything beauty so this is how you would more than likely see me out and about. Now my hair is another thing entirely. Yes, I am lazy in that department too, but once a week I try to make some sort of effort simply because I like pretty hair. It helps me fell less of a mess. Thought I would share my process. Once a week I wash it with my favorite Bumble and Bumble shampoo and conditioner, brush it out with a little spray of this, and then use this from about the ears down throughout. Every once in awhile I use this blowdryer and it really is the fastest thing around, but my hair is very dry so I try to save it from getting brittle the best I can. Most days I just go to bed with it damp and in the morning use this most amazing flat iron. It takes me maybe 5 minutes and I have really thick long hair. I do small sections at a time and try to do only one pass. The flat iron truly was worth the splurge in my opinion for the time it saves and how well it actually works. On the left is my natural somewhat curly, wavy, straight, frizzy mess and the the right is after a quick pass of the flat iron. Having decent hair just makes me happy. Now if I could just learn how to style it.

Christmas Around the House {part II}
Here are a few more images from our humble abode. I must say that once Christmas is over it may be hard for me to retire all the sparkling lights. Also having a tree in the office with all the kiddos handmade goodies makes working all that more fun. This room is on the back of the house and having an alley way with kiddos galore behind us made this a perfect spot for our second, somewhat tacky, tree. Let's be honest though both our trees lend themselves to being tacky. The HOLY marquee sign I did with Home Depot still makes me smile. The scripture canvas was done for me by a friend a few years back and it is still one of my favorite pieces I own. My nutcracker collection that my grandmother started for me when I was just a babe gathers around the tv. As I said before this house lacks surface space compared to our other so it is what it is. The stockings I ended up hanging on the banister per Ellie's request. She wanted it to be more WHO like. HA. The advent to the left is still not complete obviously. The kids take turn hanging the scripture based art as the days pass. In the end it should mimic the shape of a tree. We either read the scripture of the day or discuss what the image means to us. It's sweet really.
