The Reserve {a residence}

You may have seen this home already if you subscribe to Houzz. I instantly became smitten with the kitchen that was featured and wanted to see more. I was quite excited once I realized that the whole home was featured. I adore every little detail, the architecture, and more. It is the type of home my dreams are made of. The design was done by Yvonne McFadden which is one of my favorite designers. Her work is quite brilliant. You can see more of this home on Houzz.

I am ready {in the garden}

With the seasons changing it gets me so excited about my spring garden that will hopefully bloom. Not sure how it will turn out though since things started to bud much too soon and we never got the solid freeze we need that makes my limelight hydrangeas come back to life. Our backyard is also more on the awful side. With all the rain we have had and the unevenness of our yard made so many bare spots. I would love to just top soil it all and start from the beginning. We may make that happen I hope. The above spaces I find ever so inspiring. Oh, and Dana Wolter had a wonderful post on spring gardening that has me itching to get started already. Any advice on making a bad yard better economically? I would love some input!

I finally got the horse photo the Mr. took forever ago framed and hung. As I was putting this room together I instantly knew this image would be perfect for this space. My daughter is an avid rider so it was only fitting. There are still a few more things to be done to this room in order for me to consider it "finished". I want to put in crown moulding that will match the paint color and dip that lamp shade in black paint. Of course you know me and I like a childish touches in every room. I want Ellie and KJ to know this is their home too and feel apart of it, hence the legos. The table behind the sofa the Mr. built for me. It hides the dogs kennels underneath. This room has quickly became a family favorite. You can see more here.
